Hi,
Summer finally seems to be just around the corner. The sun, the warmth, and the joy of running around outside in short sleeved t-shirts.
It always feels like an odd week when my kids are out sick, and I have to VAB. But, nonetheless, it was a fruitful week for our class. Due to a competent substitute, we managed the weekly plan, although with a few hiccups. We even got to squeeze in a class debate on whether or not cell-phones should be allowed in class, and in addition to this we even got to enjoy watching Whitefang during the film festival.
On Friday we caught up with the spelling bee, even though I had decided to skip formal homework this week. In the finals we saw Ayesha, Achirshman, Hasan and Hannah go up against each other, and after everyone else misspelling "Anxiously" Ayesha got it right, congrats.
For science we're divided into seven groups - researching the seven major areas we have covered/almost covered this year. Once completed, we will present the work and create tests for each topic, using our newfound skills with crafting closed circuits. These will be self-correcting tests that uses lightbulbs to tell whether or not the answer is correct.
I hope that no-one sees this post before late tonight when it's cold outside, and that you're all outside enjoying one of the 20-30 days of summer we will get in Sweden this year ;)
